Grandmaster Gerhard Agrinz started HapKiDo training in 1971 and was in Austria from the first hour of birth as personal master student of Dojunim Kim Sou Bong until his death on August 4th, 2011. In January 2011 Dojunim Kim Sou Bong officially named Grandmaster Gerhard Agrinz as his successor. This means that he was given exclusively the full representation and therefore technical management of the HapKiDo teaching system from Kim Sou Bong. At the same time, Grandmaster Gerhard Agrinz was also given the rights to the TMR instruction system developed by Dojunim Kim Sou Bong as well as the European HapKiDo Education Center he founded for continuation and further development.
This education center is the central training facility for HapKiDo trainers, instructors and teachers. In particular, the education center focuses on the application of the TMR instruction system developed by Grandmaster Kim Sou Bong to develop self-assertion. This TMR teaching system is an independent instruction system that represents a completely new approach to the training and development of people in the field of self-defense or martial arts. In the following decades of HapKiDo studies, Grandmaster Gerhard Agrinz significantly and pioneeringly developed the HapKiDo teaching system Kim Sou Bong, without changing the original tradition and objectives. His goal as system successor and as president of the International HapKiDo Dan-Federation is to make his knowledge of this special teaching system as well as the TMR instruction system available to the Budo world and to establish it together with all HapKiDo friends worldwide.
